How to make Schedule XP run faster.
- Add as much ram as you can to the computer
- Get rid of unneccessary programs on running in memory
- Make sure your anti-virus software isn't scanning .accdb or .accdr files
- Don't run internet intensive tasks like music and videos while using Schedule XP
- Mozilla FireFox takes up a lot of active memory. Minimize Internet browsing while scheduling.
- Don't keep programs open that aren't being used.
- When using Schedule XP in a shared folder.... Keep the path simple. "c:\worldpt" instead of "c:\test\here\secure\worldpt"
- Most computers need to be shut down completely at least every couple days.
- Disable background gradients in the user preference settings of Schedule XP
- Turn off Appointment Confirmation in the user preference settings of Schedule XP
- Set Start Up form to Schedule in the user preference settings of Schedule XP
- Maximize the network speed on your local area network.
- Create a maintenance checklist for each computer that includes when to get windows updates, defrag the harddrive, back up files, etc.
